In 2009, Kate graduated magna cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music Education, where she studied violin with Vasile Beluska on music and academic scholarship.

Since then, Kate has become involved in the music therapy community through post-baccalaureate course work at Baldwin Wallace University and was a founding member of the board of directors for In Harmony Therapeutic Services, a non-profit music therapy organization which she currently serves as board president.

Kate has been teaching violin and piano lessons for over 20 years. She is an active violinist, playing professionally and in community orchestras across the area. Ever on a path of growth, she is currently studying violin with Dr. Julian Ross. She lives and teaches in Elyria(Lorain) with her husband, Aaron, and their four children.
