Chris Andrews Music Instructor - PercussionChris Andrews currently serves as the 5th and 6th grade band director and the assistant high school band director at Northwestern Local Schools. He earned his Master's degree from the University of Minnesota and his Bachelor's degree from the University of Maine, both in music performance. Chris has performed with orchestras and small ensembles throughout the Midwest, Europe, and even Cuba. More recently, he and his wife, (and fellow TrueNorth teacher) Leslie, enjoy performing with regional theaters. Chris brings over 20 years of private lesson experience to the TrueNorth percussion studio. Kevin Scott Robison Percussion InstructorKevin has been performing since he first appeared in H.M.S. Pinafore at age six with the Kent State Light Opera Company. The product of a musical family, Kevin began seven years of private piano studies at age seven, and turned his attention to the drums two years later. After studying at Koch School of Music with Tom Fries until graduating from Bay High School and performing with the Ohio High School Honors Band and Orchestra, Kevin pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While at MIT Kevin studied percussion privately with Dean Anderson at Berklee College of Music, performing as Principal Timpanist of the MIT Symphony for four years. Kevin also directed the Christian a cappella ensemble Cross Products and studied theory and composition under John Harbison and others. </p? Since graduating, Kevin has performed throughout Northeast Ohio, as well as serving at several churches as a worship leader. Kevin earned a Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary and now pastors CrossRoads Church in Bay Village. Most recently Kevin has performed with the TrueNorth Chamber Orchestra, Solon Philharmonic Orchestra, Blank Canvas Theatre and TrueNorth / French Creek Theatre.
